I am wondering if anyone has used the CO2 tanks from paint ball guns with a regulator to fill their pneumatic spud guns. I have been trying to find out what the threading is on the tanks so I can find the right adapters, I have a CO2 regulator from work but I can't find the information.
I hope you guys can help me out.

That is what most people use to regulate them...

Also, if you take out the pin valve, the threads on the inside of the tank are funky. They made it so no one can modify it/ change the output valve. So don't even try changing the valve, unless you want to weld.

But if you want, you could get a beer keg co2 tank, and that would give you a better air supply, and buy a regulator of some sort.

He said he already had a reg, and he just wanted to know what kind of threads they were.

if you got a reg from work and you don't work at a paintball place then its most likely one meant for a CGA-320 Valve. which are found on bigger co2 tanks (5lb, 10lb, 20lb, ect) not the ones used on paintball guns. if you need a tank <a href="http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbee ... tml">heres a link</a> to the website i bought a 5lb tank from recently to use on my bbmg. one of the best investments i have ever made becuase i can use it to fill my pneumatics when i go to peoples houses (no more dam bike pumps). any way the threads on the reg are special and the only adapter i know of for them it to adapt a co2 reg for a nitrogen tank (another type of non standard threads)

im trying to do the same thing but for a bbmg. i can get the bottle from walmart but i need a reg and cant find one unless i order a new one which are expensive.

I guess what I'm looking for is a way to used one of the paint ball tanks for a cannon pressure vessel. I am thinking about making a cannon with a 2-3 hundred psi working pressure.

i used an old drop forward and low pressure paintball reg for my gun. I think .5 gal. steel threaded on very nicely... but you need something to press the pin to make the gas come out.

The threads are 1/8" and I have found that steel galvanized pipe from a hardware store handles the pressure just fine.

I have been looking into making a small cloud that operates on unregulated Co2, all steel construction, ball valve, and using my remote with paintball tank for portable and easy operation.
