Bolt action

I wanted to make an easy bolt action for use in loading my marble/battery rifle. This is what I came up with:

Do you think this would work? I realised that I forgot the couplings to attatch the bushings. I was in a hurry. IT will have the standard groove lock of most bolt actions, but I just wanted to make sure this will work. I suck at paint too, so sorry about the crappy pic...
Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated.

it will work as long as it is NOT a coaxial. from what i can see itlooks like it, but im sure you ment for it to go on an over under

No, its for my O/U piston rifle. This is just a picture of the bolt

I actually used that for one of my rifles, i got the idea from one of the bolt action methods in the how-to section. It was very good.

The only design change i would make to your one is to have your barrel sleeved inside another pipe after the breech pipe, this will put less pressure on the mechanism, allow it to slide much easier and support the barrel. .

Im having a bit of difficulty of how it actually works. Can you enlighten me on how exactly it fires?

The barrel is inside a coupler, but not glued in. The barrel is slid forward, out of the coupler, exposing the back of the barrel and allowing ammo to be put inside. The barrel is then slid back into the coupler, allowing air to flow through from the valve.

The picture doesn't include a valve, its just of the barrel mechanism.

The design looks like it should work well, my only suggestion is that when you add the coupler, dremel the inside out a little so the barrel fits in fairly easily. This takes strain off the bolt, yet doesnt decrease performance. Likewise for the end bushing.

Thats exactly what i did lol, except i didn't use a brushing on the end, i just made a pvc washer and put a pipe that i could sleeve the barrel in onto the end. So it put prevented the barrel from bending, made it easier to use and looked good.
