A gate valve is a multi-turn valve that is sometimes used on a spudgun for flow control. It is not suitable for use as the main valve, as it is a multi-turn valve. Gate valves are usually rated to 200 PSI for a brass one. PVC, cast iron and stainless steel gate valves are also available.
