Propene is a comnmon MAPP substitute in the UK, and while not quite as effective as MAPP, is still more powerful than propane or butane. According to bernzomatic, it burns 22% faster and has a hotter flame temperature. It also has a wider flammability range than propane or butane. Similar to MAPP gas, the stoichiometric ratio is 4.66%
