homedepotpro's spear gun gotme thinking spearguns for my trip to florida, the thing is I'm going to be doing this sail boat trip and I'm going to do alot of coral reef stuff, so I decided I want to have a speargun/ canon for the trip I used the chammber/stock from my deus ex machina, and I'm going to make a colapseable 3liter bottle chammber for the 1.5 barrel, but as you can see I'd don't have any new 1"adapters and thebarrel thing is a cutoff
Image
Image from the brushing and down its one pice bolted on with some teflon tape to create a light seal
Image with the 1.5" barrel the brusing and barrel is removed and the 1.5" barrel is sleeved over the coupling part of the 1"adapter and bolted

the other chalange with this is that I must get it into my luggage secretly so it doesn't look like some freaky weapon so I take everything apart

edit: noooo my gross foot is in the picture

thats a pretty a nice gun, but i would like to ask-

do you really intend to kill a fish/shark with it?
"physics, gravity, and law enforcement are the only things that prevent me from operating at my full potential" - not sure, but i like the quote

dude your toe is fucking weird!haha
nice speargun, even if it is designed to spear a fish, I don't see why it would be against forum rules, after all, its not that dissimilar from a real spear gun

Dude, if they ask, say it's a homemade "paintball" gun. If nothing else, check it and transport it as if it was a regular gun.

And frankrede, I'm jealous of your girlfriend.
I'm weird, I know it, you don't need to tell me.

personal note though, these guns are for shallow waters (like <20 feet) because of water pressure.

my bad, missed the first word of the post. lol, yeah just bring teflon tape and screw it together there. the pieces are all just plumbing parts

Don't you people know? Jules Verne wrote about a pneumatic speargun in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, thats why.

Clearly sarcasm doesn't travel too well over the internet, you'd think I'd have learn by now.

hmm yesterday I tried the large barrel with my current chammber, it works like a weak ball valve gun which is good enough for me maybe but i need more teflon tape so I might as well pick up a 1" adapter and build that other chammber
the other thing I need is a manual bike pump, its funny how all my schrader filling things are electric

also preformece for the spear gun is low stablity on spears but plenty of power I shot though my box for my new airsoft gun as well as the box used for postage so thats like a layer of cardboard another layer cause thats how the box opens then 2" or so of styrofoam then alayer of cardbord and finally another layer

Looks like a cool cannon, but I hope you realise its illegal to shoot reef fish, and if you want to shoot game fish, you going to have a tough time.
Good job though.
Enjoy your holiday too

what ammo are you using, because those aluminum pipe tipped spears i put in the ammo section do not work under water.
