Well, that all depends on whether you want it to be portable, practical, and economical, or big, powerful, and SWAT gun-like.

I would personally suggest something in between.

^ wow, Your an extremly discriptive person aren't you.

P.S. Who dosent want a gun that will shoot something really far?

EDIT: maybe you should make a modded sprinkler valve gun first, you will be amaised at the power gains from that alone.

Ouch... 1,984,050 bytes of dial-up pain.

Funny though.

Oh, and nice moderately sized in-line ball valve gun. You should seriously consider adding a sprinkler valve though.

Hahaha, the owl is awesome!

I think a modded sprinkler valve would be a good choice, because its a huge improvement from a ball valve AND later you could use it for the pilot valve on a piston gun.
For 1" ammo you could use spuds, zuchini, carrots, anything <1" with a sabot, wax slugs etc etc... What do you been there's nothing to shoot!?

If you have enough power, almost any ammo that is solid can be very damaging (check out the Carnage! thread).

Hell yeah, that is some POWER! I just read the whole topic, and was stunned!

Trust me, wax slugs leave quite some damage too...and rocks with a sabot...

Watch the Carnage thread tonight (don't know what time it is in South Africa), I'll hopefully be posting a video of a 360 gram ice slug hitting the same target with about 1140 ft/lbs of energy. Should be pretty entertaining.
