My motto is keep it simple, as can be seen here.
The chamber was made from Stainless and Nylon, the barrel is copper.
It has been tested to 4x (max i want to go with it, plus the gauge died!)

Chamber volume 700ml
Barrel i.d. 23mm, volume 560ml
Ignition is from a simply made "spark plug" and a bbq piezo.
I use a syringe to inject Butane through the ball valve, bike tube valve to pump in the air.
Hope you guys likey I do! (hope the pics work also)
The first picture is the projectiles. Just added damage pics, these were only at 1x mix, clean through, note the size of the holes!!!

P.s. I'm trying to get the pics bigger.

wow, most people dont make their fist post a hybrid. you did a very good job on it.

what is the ignition for it?
"physics, gravity, and law enforcement are the only things that prevent me from operating at my full potential" - not sure, but i like the quote

you know you are not an engineer if you have to remind yourself "left loosy righty tighty"

I would have to dismantle the chamber sorry.
The piezo attaches to the wires you see the rest is hidden.

So that means the piezo is connected to the spark plug?
well, this isn't much isn't it?

It has without fail ignited every time, the spark gap is only about 2mm.

Looks like a good little hybrid you got there... and what an entrance to spudfiles, welcome!
What are the total dimensions for it?
Well done on a well-constructed cannon though

Thanx Yeti, the chamber is 230mm long with an o.d. of 95mm, the internal length is approx 130mm with an i.d. of 70mm. S/S is around 6mm thick and it has an internal co-polymer sleeve of around 6.5mm thick. The barrel is 1350mm long (90mm of which extends inside the chamber). So all up you got 1580mm long.
I know a longer barrel would do wonders but it wouldn't be practical "around these parts"

This has been changed to exclude the insert.

That sounds really cool, I love mini guns that are just "pill bottle minis" but actually really advanced and work well, for example jackssmirkingrevenge's pen gun project.

It sounds like it was really well built too, not just another piece of crap

Where do you live, because you work in metric (I live in South Africa, which is metric too)[/url]
really good quote/phrase here
