Bloody hell. Man that must suck, your house insured or something? Did it happen during the day or night when you were sleeping? Hope everything is going to be ok for you and your family.

Your house burnt down, and your concerned about maybe a $50 cannon, when there is 50x that in your walls?

Other then that, as with anyone, I hope your safe. Doesn't sound as if the whole incident shook you around to much.

Wow, that sure sucks. Was it a space heater by any chance? I know they are notorious for fires. FYI, if anyone has an x-box (the old one) I know those also have a history. Anyway, good luck. Use that insurance to the fullest extent.

Hope ya'll are alright. Heaters running when people are asleep has always scared me big time. Still, they shouldn't malfunction like that, no matter how paranoid I am about them. My guess it was something like a short, if it was running and there was no cloth or other combustibles too close to it.

Anyways, just feel lucky it was the cannon and not you or anybody else in your family. PVC is cheap compared to people, (and houses, but insurance should pay that. ).

bummer dude, hope you manage to recover soon enough and get those cannons off the workbench again

Look at the bright side, now you have a good excuse to stockpile CO2, fire extinguishers etc. all in the name of health and safety but that can be siphoned off to provide for your projects ;)
