You know, we could have a regular contest, and a contest for cannon concepts. The design on a budget thing could be just another part of the regular contest.

I think we should hold it in early October and have 5 categories. Minis, Automatic/Semi-automatics, pneumatic, combustion, and concepts. Each cannon in minis, pneumatics, and Auto/semi-auto, would be judged on looks, efficiency, and range. The concepts category would be judged for looks, probability of working, and overall coolness. 8) Also, the winner of each category gets a picture of their cannon put up on home page until the next contest, and should possibly get a $20-$25 gift certificate to BC-Arms. Second place would get recognition on the home page, (No pictures of their cannons though). Sound like a plan?

That is actually a really good sounding, practical plan. I especially like the gift vouchers for BC-arms.

I like that plan acdc, I approve. But I don't know about the date, I have another time-intensive project I need to finish about then, but of course, the whole thing doesn't revolve around me.

All we need to do is to get BC-pneumatics to agree to the gift cards idea, and we need to work out a date with him and PCguy.

Yea, I'm sure PCGuy won't mind having another contest, as long as it's not going to cost him.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen him either. Hmm. How long was the last contest open for entries?

AH. Is the answer to the question in your sig just a random number acdc, or is there some hidden meaning that I don't quite get?

Well, my username is Acdcmonkey1991 (1,991, get it?) even though people always think I was born in 1991, I was actually born in 1993. I think 1991 sounds cooler than 1993. LoL, , that's why I chose it.

Oh lord. I didn't even pay attention to the number in your name, lol. I feel like a moron now. I kept trying to find some hidden meaning, lol.

Interesting question! Hah yes I have, in fact I have an unfinished cannon sitting behind me... has been there for a few years now.

When I was younger I always wanted to build nifty cannons... I have a large pneumatic that I never got to use, since when I finished building it was when I learned DWV pipe is not safe for pneumatics (note this was a LONG time ago). I also have a small handheld pneumatic, and a breech loading 4" combustion that I never finished (sitting behind me).

I never got to play with them much since they are illegal to shoot here, and by the time I got a car to actually drive somewhere to shoot my priorities changed from spending on cannons, to modifying my car.

Now days I am so pressed for time I can barely even work on my car. Work full time, come home and I'm super tired... soon I am switching to part time work but then school starts up as well.

As soon as my project is fully done and it's reliable enough to take on a trip, I promise I will meet some of you at an IPLA meet if it's somewhere near me.

Now for the contest...

I really think it's too soon to have another cannon competition (as far as the cannons themselves go). But what about a contest for smaller things such as... best penetration video? (don't laugh! ). Or something else that is smaller, easier for people to do with smaller prizes? It doesn't always have to be about the cannon it's self, it could be about how well it can perform...

Haha, way to go PCGUY, he HAS built one after all, lol. I think we should reword that to best damage shots, best ballistic round, or something along those lines if it actually does make it to a contest, I can see how that could go bad...

Moving on! I like the idea of a contest for parts like that, works for me. Even though I still couldn't put mine in.

I just got a killer idea, what about a contest for best ammo. It will be judged on power, velocity, "Usability", and coolness 8)
