What do you think of my design?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

Well, I wanted to make a launcher that had a rifle-ish look to it. After a little bit of thinking i came up with this design.

(it's not to scale. I still have to figure out what size will fit in my arm best.)

So, what do you think?

I think it is a good design and if it doesn't work, then you haven't built it properly. .Put a Bipod on it though. It will look awesome.

its good, but if you want a rifle design why not one like this?

i made it just for you, the only problem with the program i used is there is not sprinkler valve avalible, so i put a ball valve there instead. just replace the ball valve with the sprinkler valve and your set.

Thats a much more rifle-looking design, i'll probably switch to your design. thanks hi.

Also, what program did you use for that? it looks a million times better than paint.

pvc arsenal posted this in the general disscussion area. i used to use paint and nobody could ever make out what i was trying to show them.

this work much better. its a simple program and downloads very quickly.

if you just play around with it maybe you will come up with an even better one.

Hi, that design looks good and all, but won't all the bends in the stock restrict airflow? To solve this (if it is a problem) I think you could split the chamber into 2 sections. The primary under the barrel chamber, and the stock chamber. Connect the area directly in front of the sprinkler valve to the primary chamber and stock chamber using t's, and you can still have the benefits of a stock/chamber without reducing airflow (in theory anyway...) I'll try to post a picture sometime that are less confusing...

i see what you are saying. it all happens so fast i dont think it will matter to much. its not like it would be a huge difference in power, maybe 10 fps or os (just a guess).

he said he wanted a rifle look, so i gave him my idea. at 100 psi it really only needs about half the chamber that i put on it, i just put it there because it makes it look better.
