Custom Blowgun Ideas

Hey everyone
My coaxial is under construction again.... The reason being my homemade blowgun died on me....
Here is a diagram of it



I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for making a blowgun? I'm thinking some sort of piston valve idea where instead of air pressure to move the piston some sort of rod or seer that is pushed moves it. Any ideas, comments, suggestions or ANYTHING will be much appreciated. Oh and it must be as cheap as possible lol...

I don't like the look of a metal blowgun on a pvc cannon. Also i would much rather make it

Its like taking a wheel from a road car and using to on a racing car. It will work fine, but wont looks as good or perform as well.

Can't you but one and hide it in a piece of PVC pipe? Or take the stem, spring etc. and fit them to PVC?

Actually i will have disagree with you. My custom blowgun i had before had a much higher flow than my store brought one, and even more so than nonames blowgun mod technique i think. It also looked better, attached onto the gun better because it was housed in a Tee and provided a more realistic trigger.

I was looking for new designs which might be more affective... If I'm going to rebuild it, i want to make it better

Well, there's nothing much more you can do to improve the flow - what you can do however is improve the opening time, how about taking the trigger mechanism from a cheap cap gun and use it to strike the blowgun stem, that way it will open much faster than if you pressed the trigger with your finger.

You can also improvise your own spring-loaded mechanism with a bit of common sense.

That cap gun idea is a good idea thanks. Thinking about the cap gun and a trigger mechanism inspired me . I now have a solution to make a much more effective trigger mechanism. Thanks for inspiration. If anyone else has any thoughts or ideas, please share lol

If you need the flow then go with your method, but commercial blowguns can be integrated just as well into the gun.

Plus they never break down and don't add much volume to your pilot area.

How about this for a homemade blow gun. A trigger would be extremely easy to make a trigger system.

Thanks for the response clide and us sniper i like them both.
I put my blowgun together and it works fine, i think its just the support for the trigger axle. She works great now .
