All other params at their defaults.

ah, another mac-man, welcome to the cult, brother. sadly, we have to deal with compatibility issues. GGDT is just one example. i solved that pesky little problem with a new Macbook Pro, and boot camp. i can now do everything a PC can. and more. such as no viruses.

anywhoo. depending on which comp you have, you could run ubuntu linux on it. i think thats compatible.

do you think it would noticably effect performance if i choked the flow down to 1/2? or would 3/4 porting be possible in a 1 inch tee?

Ah didn't know you were using copper, but yeah it will work if your piston is well made.

Hi everybody,

I have figured out how to run GGDT on a Mac.

The procedure is somewhat complex, so if you're not comfortable with the terminal, you might not want to attempt.

1. Install X11 for Mac. This is included on the install dvd. If you dont have it you may be out of luck.

2. Download MacPorts (http://macports.org) at http://svn.macosforge.org/repository/ma ... 0-10.4.dmg and install.

3. Open a Terminal (It's in utilities), and run "open ~/.bash_profile". Add the following to the file: "export PATH=/opt/local/bin:$PATH"

4. Restart the Terminal to update the path.

5. Run "sudo port selfupdate", then "sudo port install cabextract", then "sudo port install wine" (this one will take a long time to finish)

6. Create a directory called GGDT somewhere.

7. Download ggdt4.4.exe, COMDLG32.CAB, and MSCHRT20.CAB from Hall's ggdt page, to the GGDT directory

8. Start up X11

9. In the terminal, run "export DISPLAY=:0"

10. Download the VB runtime files from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

11. Run "wine ~/Desktop/VB6.0-KB290887-X86.exe" (path may vary)

12. Select to extract to the desktop

13. Run "wine ~/Desktop/vbrun60sp6.exe"

14. Using cd, change to your GGDT directory ("cd directoryname")

15. Run "cabextract COMDLG32.CAB", then "cabextract MSCHRT20.CAB"

16. Run "wine ggdt4.4.exe" and hope for the best

If you want, you can add GGDT to the Application menu of X11, by starting up X11, then in the Application menu, click Customize Menu. Add an entry for GGDT, with a command of "wine path/to/ggdt4.4.exe"

Tell me if any step needs clarification, or anything doesn't work

Note: Hall's page seems to be down right now
