check valve

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

here is my idea for a check valve. i want to use it on a high pressure pump (like 200psi).

Looks like it would work but it also looks like it would be a lot of trouble. My local hardware store sells 1/4" npt check valves. It just seems easier to buy one.

Why not just buy one.

But when you still want to build it:
It will work and the design looks very nice BUT!!!
make very very sure the pipe is cut square and set 100% straight or it wont seal.

It is a local, one town, store called Well's Hardware. They have all kinds of weird fittings most have never even heard of. I was fortunate enough to work there for a couple of years during high school so I got pretty familiar with all this stuff (which greatly aids in the continuation of this hobby).

If you can not find them local check out McMaster Carr at mcmaster.com they have just about everything you could ever need. :D :D :D Check it out. shipping is reasonable and they ship promptly.
