I wanted to make a paint ball rifle that used shells and this is what I came up with. It has a 3/4 in. cpvc barrel inside a 3/4 in. sdr21 pvc. Before I put the paper towel tube on there the shells would fly 20ft. straight into the air and one hit me in the head. Now they fly forward and it looks real cool. The shell ejection system was not intentional. This gun is not finished.

And ammo. Left to right. C battery 1in., Wax bullet 1in., Asthma med. can 3/4in. sdr21 pvc, paint ball 3/4in. cpvc.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Kinda cool. Would be really sick if you found a way for it to be semi-automatic... :D

Sweet gun! You used DWV, so don't pressurize it above like 70 psi. I never new you could sleeve cpvc barrels like that. Quite a useful bit of info. Again, awesome gun, just dont drop it while it's pressurized.

The bell reducer. you also tapped he schrader valve into only one layer of PVC. It's generally more safe to tap it through 2 layers.

This is fairly easy to do.

If he were to have it constantly rigged up to regulated HPA or Co2, the sprinkler vavle would automatically reset and it would be semi auto.

Anybody can do that. The hard part is the loading system.

pretty cool
so how does it eject?
(hmm I find irony in my statement since people ask that a lot for my deus ex machina)
to replace the cardboard tubes I think either 1" sch40 pvc2, or 1" sdr21 over the 3/4" (maybe)
and 1.25" sch40 on the one inch

The compressed air does. When the air is under pressure it looks for the weakest point to escape from.
