Using a QEV on a hybrid should work fine; as most sprinkler valves do. How did all of you (minus BC, I know you've had to have seen it) miss the first hybrid ever?

wouldnt the QEVs break though, assuming you are getting any decent pressure out of your gun? they only work up to 150psi, and a hybrid should get a hell of a lot higher than that when you fire it...

I think it's taking too much risks for nothing : burst discs are fine and allow the ultimate flow.

For nothing? You cant tell me you wouldn't want a semi-automatic hybrid?

DR shot his 1" Orbit Watermaster (125 psi) hybrid at 4x mixes, it never broke. He just replaced it later with a union.

i guess it wouldnt break, because the QEV doesnt have to hold pressure very high, only like 2-3bar, it just has to open when the pressure increases, so it doesnt have to hold the seal (do you guys understand what i am saying and think that that makes any sense or is my logic all wrong?)
