sprinkler valve help

my sprinkler valve keeps makeing a horn sound through the barrel when i press the trigger can anyone tell me if this is ok and wont affect the max performance or it will affect?

Also is your valve pnuematically acuated? If not you should consider modding it, it would get rid of the honking sound and improve performance.

SEARCH! ok someone needs to put a notice on the front page to tell all the new guys to search first! And if youre valve is honking its probaly not performing as good as it should are you using a modded valve? search next time please.
current projects: co-axial piston valve.Status DONE!
S.P.E.C.S update mk 1 construction begining in febuary all the maths for it are done plans are drawn up and parts are listed.

Well, yes it will increase performance but it won't rid the honking sound, it didn't on my gun, though the sprinkler valve on mine I dug up from the ground after about 8 years of sitting there.
But honking isn't bad, it's natural. Just ignore it.

How far away is your chamber from the valve? Usually if there is alot of space in between and the air takes more time to escape this will cause honking. Try moving your air chamber closer to the valve. You will also increase performance this way.

if your only taking your gun up to 10 psi like you did in the video, thats probably why. mine makes a slight honking sound under 15 psi. above that its fine. maybe replace your chamber and take the pressure up a bit
