hey peoples, was in northern california fishing for thanksgiving week and i went into a fishing shop and saw these:

(the one on the left)
and i thought, man that would be a great projectile, but then i saw the price and it was a buck per weight, then i also saw 1/4" coiled lead rod and i thought i could get one weight and make a mold, so i looked on here for the epoxy mold thread (i know it's here i just can't find it) but i don't know if epoxy will melt under the heat, i'm assuming it will but i need someone who has dealt with epoxy more, like JSR

Do not use an epoxy mould bro. The fumes would kill a dead dog! I think your only "real" option is to use some kind of ceramic or plaster mould.
Another way would be to sharpen a drill bit to the form of your projectile and make holes in either metal or aluminum. You also need the tip of the round heavier than the ass end so it does'nt want to tumble in flight.

go to bassmasters or cabellos and you buy the molds already made, they go from 1/8 oz to 3/8 oz don't remember if they go bigger than that though

As above, epoxy as a hot mold is a big no-no. Also, consider that the instant that the projectile leaves the barrel, it will start to tip over if your barrel isn't rifled. You need some sort of fins or hollow tail in the design for stable flight from a smoothbore barrel.

ok, i can drill out the tail without too much trouble, but before i can i gotta have the, ammo and therefore i need a mold, i bet there's a steel mold on ebay that's like a civil war relic, from the miniball bullets of that era, but thanks for the no-go on the epoxy, i didn't wanna try and find myself dead

edit: i use too many commas
