He wants to know what diameter PVC or ABS end caps can fit into 1" Sch40 PVC and 1.5" ABS. Though he failed to tell us what kind of ABS he is using.

Well is this for pneumatic or combustion, cause if its pneumatic better make sure its pressure rated and it screws in. Can't glue ABS with PVC.

I have a feeling he wants to use the end cap for a piston.

The 1 inch is pvc and is for my pnuematic and the 1.5 inch is abs and is for my combustion. I will be using the caps for a slug type ammo. It will be two encaps filled with something.

I have never seen any pvc fittings smaller than .5", but you might want to try different sizes of cpvc fittings, since they are a little smaller than pvc.

1/2 inch CPVC caps with a little modification fit into 1 inch pipe.

i know for a fact that 3/4 inch CPVC caps are s;ightly smaller than 1/2 inch PVC caps.
