God damn, I must be Rag's polar opposite or something. I can hook a multimeter lead to one end of a 9 volt, hold the other lead, and get a reading of ~7 volts just by touching the battery with the other hand.

Show us the low-voltage LED trick that joanna mentioned and I'll be convinced, btw :)

Joanna said something about being able to get a small LED to glow dimly from body voltage alone. I was wondering if it was possible.

Yes, a few brands of LED's can be lit as such. I don't have any at uni, but I have a few back home.
Video in a coupla weeks if you want.
