hydrolic extreme presure pumps

hey I was looking around on mc masters, there are a lot of pumps that can produce extreme presures, but I think a lot of them are for hydrolics, and are posibly dependent on lubrication from the liquid. How can I tell if that is the situation or if their is a way to adapt hydrolic pumps, anyone know about extreme presure pumps

Why not just buy the real thing if you have that sort of money?

Why not motorise a shock pump?
Look at the way the FX compressor works:

Shouldn't be too hard to accomplish if you geared down a big electric motor - make sure you have a cooling system sorted out though.
