I made one with a 5 gal. jug and 5ft of 2" PVC, it worked fine. I wouldn't trust it too much though. It fired about 12 shots or so at night :D . The chamber was on the ground when I shot it off and it bounced up like 6", scared the hell outa me.

Okay I just went on to burnt latke and used there rat calc thing and discovered That the barrel would have to be ~30ft long if you used 2in pipe to get a moderately good ratio of 1:1 And the barrel would have to be 200in long to get a ratio of .8:1 if you used 3in pipe for the barrel  I mean I expected it to be long but not that long if you want you could make the barrel that long but I would go for something more like a 2:1 ratio instead even though it woldnt be at maximum strength it would still be extremely powerful  And would be one hell of noisemaker.Where ear protection when lettig it off and again dont be anyware near it.

the mythbusters use 50psi to start then whant up to 130psi . it didint go very far but the barell exuaster that u may fit on it can add an extr kik... try no to get the ones with the handle. the dead space by your triggering device might cause hige back fire/ recoil and poor preformance.

oops, i forgot i started this post and just remembered it today. so... i need a really long barrel, gotta hack off the nozzle and figure out a way to attach the barrel, get earplugs, find a giant launch space, and then get some really long electrodes... sounds like fun! :)

what if i just sprayed my fuel in the nozzle and covered it with plastic wrap then fired would it just be an airborne fireball? :violent3: or an explosion waiting to happen? :bom:

sounds like you need a 4" barrel 8) or you could fill the bottom with something to keep the volume down, i suppose you could do it to the top aswell and epoxy the barrel in but kind of fill up part of the chamber aswell
