Urgh sorry for another post but I'm not having any luck. I'm after a galvanised steel barrel for my 300psi marble gun but I'm not having any luck finding any information on the steel pipe. My dad got some from Metal Corp for 13 bucks for 6m and that was 1''. the OD was 27mm and the ID was 22mm. He also said it was the imported chinese steel.
Does anyone have a clue on what the 3/4'' would be? I just need something that will fit standard 5/8th (16mm) marbles.
I know that the dimentions between the home grown copper pipe and the imported is way different. 3/4in aussie stuff could fit marbles with maybe a mm or 2 space around it. The imported stuff was too small by about 2mm.
Cheers.
ID for 3/4in chinese steel pipe
you will have to see it and check. different companys different products. what i do is go in with the projectile you wish to fire and see how it fits .
At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote

3/4" should be 19 mm... well at least in theory... and I know this problem very well some 1/2 pipes that I have are exactly 12.7 mm while other can be even 2 mm +/- 12.7......
I find ammo to fit the pipe I buy ,not find pipe to fit my ammo.....Thats just me....If I cant use a marble ,I'll find something different...Theres ammo to fit any size pipe out there,or you can make it fit....Just keep looking...

do as carter said.. you have to check it yourself.... there is no other way
I see it like this - ID of pipes is not really as important for most uses so nobody really cares whether 1/2" is exactly 12.7mm or 3.4" is 19.05 mm... Most pipes manufactureres are not aware that their products are used as barrels
and never trust any guy at hardware store... I've noticed that most of them have problems with distinguishing between 3/8" and 1/2" and they have no idea what are dimensions of pipes in mm. (which really sucks since imperial units are not used in Poland so basically they have no idea what is the size fittings and pipes they sell)
and I think this is the same all over the world - at least 50% of people in hardware stores have very little knowledge about their stuff
