Well i just got a quick queston and im looking for a quick answer before i head down to my local hardware store. Im building a cannon mainly out of spare parts, all i needa buy is 2 3/4" Elbows,it will be a ball valve witch will be 3/4" also. The chamber is 2" approx 25cm long and the barrel will be 40mm, im looking to keep the gun small and portable, so what would be the ideal barrel length? my plan was not to exceed 60cm, it will be an under over design.
Here is a Quick paint drawing.
A Quick Question to do with barrel length.

looks fine to me. i would go for about 40 inches, but thats just me. (im not exactly sure of the conversion of cm to inches, but thats reasonably close isnt it?)
"physics, gravity, and law enforcement are the only things that prevent me from operating at my full potential" - not sure, but i like the quote

Yes your are correct.
Id just say as big as you can go with the portability.

1. Because it is cheap and easy (no modding sprinkler valve)jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Agreed, but why a ball valve?LikimysCrotchus5 wrote:I'd just say as big as you can go with the portability.
2. Piston is out of the equation
3. Because i had it spare
this gun is going to be mainly a spare parts cannon
its all done, just waiting for glue to dry and adding some minor mods and accesories etc. The barrel will be 50cm long and i hae a 1m barrel to.
Later on i am planing on making it like a double barrel shotgun, (i no performence will be poor, and the air wont split properlyt etc)
Thanks for all the hep, Thursto.
