Its easy to build a paintball gun but if you do there isnt a way to adjust and maintain the velocity and at a resonable speed. So its not that they cant make it, its that most parks wont accept homemade markers.

Ya, if I could make a paintball gun and take it to the paintball field, I would, but I am almost positive that it wouldn't be allowed.

Most paintball guns run at co2 pressure which is around 800 psi.

yes demon, paintball markers have a velocity adjuster, usally just a hex screw that either advances or retards the amount of air released.

i know everytime i go to a field they do a velocity check with a chronograph, they meausre your ball speed in fps, i think they allow up to 250fps at most fields

sergeantspud2, do you mean 800psi total in tank, or per shot? i dont know why but 800psi sounds kinda high for one paintball shot, even though an average 9mm has ~ 30,000 psi in the barrel :?

Yep in a normal co2 tank there is 800psi and most guns like tippmann, spyder/look alikes all run on that pressure 800.

Avrige 9mm has 3000 psi not 30000.And it have very bad chamber to barrel ratio. The velocitity should be around 800fps.

HE SAID THE HANDGUNS USING 9mm PARABELLUM HAVE LOWER THAN IDEAL BARREL LENGHT.
Ok, is it clear to everyone now?
It's perfectly true. Regulations restrict muzzle velocities (thus barrel lenght) of weapons, plus a handgun needs to be portable.
And, yes, the 9mm para has a relatively small charge. 3000 PSI sounds like a reasonable peak pressure.
