First time Spud Cannon

I am new to the realm of Spudguns/cannons. I would like to make one in the very very near future, but would like tips and advice on an easy build for my first time, fairly inexpensive preffered. I have a general understanding on how it works, but would like some more input. Any tips?

i good first canon to make is just 2'' chamber to rainbird u turn valve to 1''1/2 barrell, i maid one like this that could shoot a C batery throow a good thick piece of chipbord. good amow for distance is hac e sac / beenbags.

Cygnus: I'd suggest making a simple combustion launcher. You can find very detailed instructions <a href="http://www.spudtech.com/content.asp?id=5">here</a> for one.

Well, I spent most of the day checking out local stores looking for supplies, and the largest size PVC pipe I can find is 2". I have to check Grover's tomorrow on the hope they have larger, but other than that I am looking to be S.O.L. on parts. Any ideas on that one?

well make a simple pneumatic,a good lenght of sch40 2"pipe will do well as a chamber aswell as a barrel if you want.but 2"ballvalves are hard to open,so try a modded sprinkler they are fairly easy to mod there is a how-to on this site so that make sit even easyer.
