Dropping PVC

Is dropping pvc bad for it? Sorry if it sounds noob.. I dropped a section of 3/4 inch pvc with fittings attached a couple times onto hardwood floor from about a meter up.. I heard that dropping pvc is bad for the pipes....If it didn't damage it, what would?

Your fine. As long as you dont beat it around with a hammer or something crazy like that, you can use it. Just never drop pvc while pressurized. If you see any cracks, dont use it.

I would'nt risk it. micro cracks could develop. PVC is so cheap anyway.Take your expensive fittings and start over.

Why risk it? I had an old cannon blow on me once . Luckily it just cracked.Now that could have been simply from old age, or from being dropped or banged around, ( It was at least a year old) I've been a lot more carefull since.My brother in law is an ER nurse He told me he once saw a guy come in who blew three fingers off with a spudgun ( no doubt that idiot was doing something REALLY stupid like using acetylene or something )But why take any chances?

Danger is cool. Risk is fun. I just wanna keep all my body parts for as long as possible. I'm a big advocate of blast tubes/shields, duct tape, remote detonation. etc. (especially when there are kids around.)

It all depends on the level of comfort you want when using this, and how much of a risk you are willing to take.
Considering that you're willing to take the risk of using PVC on a handheld in the first place, it's surprising that you even ask this question. But yes, micro fractures could develop, and they could weaken the pipe. Also realize that the pipe has likely already been dropped a few times during its life, and you probably aren't increasing the risk very much.
