Copper and Brass pipe threads hate me...
I bought some copper pipe today to make valve for my bb machine gun project. I cant seem to screw the pipe into its parts more than half way, i know when you are screwing something in you get more resistance as you go further but this is rediculous. So is there some secret technique for screwing threaded copper and brass pipe fittings together?

I havent tried using WD-40 but ive tried another lube, it did not work as well as teflon. Ill be happy with this even if this is the case. Infact if you guys wouldent mind helping me out...
This valve is going inside of an airsoft M4 reciver, if you guys can think of any valves what can fit inside and have a trigger let me know! The simpley, the better!

You won't be able to thread it compleatly in, no matter how hard you try. It's designed that way.
As to what would happen if you didn't tighten it enough: it'd leak. Most likely noisily.

you could try threading it pretty far with teflon tape, then pump it up with a bike pump, and spray some soap crap on it, and if it has leaks, redo it with more tape.

in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08
