what about hybrids don't you need a high voltage for that?

There are people here that have successfully used a piezo ignitor with hybrids like Novacastrian, noname and in the case of this grenaded launcher, chaos.

I think I'm going to turn this into a piston gun with the burstdisk in front of the piston valve would it help preformance?

i think the best for you is to keep it as a pneumatic a while to learn the principal behind compressed gass guns. then you make it a combustion and learn some there also. after that just put some gauges and a propane meter and all that stuff on and you got an hybrid.
if you want to know more about hybrids just look at the hybrids at this page
(feel free to ask question's on peoples hybrids)

A burst disk between the piston and the barrel will definitely help performance as you're giving the piston time to open more before the pressure actually reaches the projectile.

Great I will use that for sure burst disk I would like to know what the best fitting is for the piston to be housed in. I bought a 3/4-1/2-1/2 ruducing tee and I don't know if that is the best fitting to use any suggestions?

The smaller a piston, the lighter you can make it, the less stresses it imposes on your system and the smaller your pilot valve has to be.

housing the piston in the 1/2" tee sounds like it would work, assuming your barrel is 1/4"?

In that case, you'll need at least a 3/4" tee to house your piston.

As long as the piston is 3/4" in diameter, yes
