If I were to say Noob, n00b, newb, newbie or newby...You would still know what I mean.

Theres to many members here to have a shout box. It will fill way to fast for anybody to get anything answered. You would have to read back over 100 one liners to pick up on whats importent to you.

A SPUD shoutbox would be "In the world of spuds today..."

But thats just spud related.

Excellent illustration. Had this been in the shoutbox people would have had to scroll through previous messages to figure out what you were saying. Then they would realize the post was worthless because it doesn't really say anything or answer a prior post.

If you were referring to jrrdw' post(pretty much the only one you could've been referring to), flood control only works on an individual member's post to the SB, not the entire forum's posts to the SB.
