This topic is pretty old, so the poster probably isn't going to reply. My guess would be that he used disks of some sort to center the barrel, or maybe bushings. I personally like to use the lids that cover round cardboard tubes used to ship things like fishing rods.

i pm-ed him and i learned that it was simply held in by friction, if i remember right though there might hve been some bolts in the cleanout cap part
