Compressors go bad?

Turns out the compressor is way out of date, It rusted inside, the wires crack when you bend them, It won't even go back together.. So it hopeless.. I ordered This one to hold me over until I feel like saving cash...

Bummer man, looks like whoever had it before didn't periodically drain the moisture out of the tank.
