Indeed, only a monor part of the forum has PSPs and the major part has a cell phone wich can run java or a TI calculator.
I figure most of us follow (or have followed) science related studies or jobs wich require such calculators. So most of us have one.

Do it for cell phone or calculator but not on the PSP.

Even though I own a PSP I use my TI-83 calculator far more frequently...

So I agree...if there's a program written Cell phone or Calculator would be best...

Hey, I've already made one. It's a simple projectile calculator. You will actually have to know something about your cannon though. It doesn't calculate from scratch. It needs the energy, force, acceleration, or velocity to calculate velocity, height, and distance. The entire program is in metric however. If you want I can try to have up by next week. (I need to borrow a usb cable from a neighbor)

That would be a good start. Maybe someone could edit it and stuff to make it a tad bit more user friendly. However, I believe firmly that a calculator would be a better tool because of this:
1- Bigger screen
2- Easier programming
3- Who's gonna yell at you in class for using a calculator?

So, yeah... When you do get up the program make sure that its open for editing so that people can try to improve upon it.

Thanks - Tedder

Well, if you insist on it being on a TI calculator, go find a copy of QBASIC to work with on your computer first before compiling the code to run on the calculator.

I still think you should just be paying attention in class, though...

I might be able to help with the programming since I have a background in many programming languages, including a little BASIC.

Nobody!
And THAT is what it is for, to kill those boring hours in class. :D
It should have an option to hide it with a simple button press and come back up again for teacher patrol.

lol my english teacher is a feminist. Our class likes to poke the fire every once in a while and boy can she go off on rants.

Anyway. I could make the calculator more complex. Writing a progrm is like writing an essay; it's easy but takes a while. I could bring it all the way down to requiring volume and pressure and/or fuel to calculate those kinds of things. I guess I could put a converter on it as well. I also could make the program easy on the eyes. But it all takes a lot of time.

This is a cool idea, i might be able to do a simple program like this.
It would be nothing more than a screen that asks you to enter numbers like distance ect and then it will graph trajectory.

You can halt any program by pressing on then selecting quit. My teachers know I program so that doesn't work for me. They even ask every now and then if a made a particular game. The DDR game that uses Mirage OS is an example. But they are right to assume, (I better end this post quick I'm getting braggy) I've made the (as far as I know) only blackjack game without programming in Mirage OS. Anyway I'll work on it. See if I can't get it ready by next week.
