Well, this is what I've got so far.

I sat down with Visual Basic Express and came up with the idea of building a math tool. It would perform all the calculations most commonly encountered in spudgunning.

So... I finished the C:B part. Rather than have the thing sit around for a few more weeks while I work on the fueling section of the program, I decided to just release the incomplete version with only the C:B calculation information, and call it version 1.0.

First off, this program will only work if you have the latest .NET Framework installed by Microsoft. I had it running on .NET v2.0 this morning, so that would appear to be the lowest version that will support the program. When I get around to finished the entire program, I'll borrow a copy of Visual Basic 6 and compile the program so that it will work on all versions of Windows.

If you're just burning to run the program and don't have the latest .NET Framework installed, you can download v3.5 from Microsoft's website. Again, don't complain for now, it'll eventually be compiled into a true standalone like GGDT or other programs.

Tell me about any problems you guys might experience with the program.

looks great. for the fueling part you can take all the equations from hcmp I made, it might make it a little easier.

Actually, I have a goody or two up my sleeve for that fueling section. The accuracy won't increase very much, but since the user doesn't have to see the calculations (unless they want to) I figure why not? Thanks for the offer though.

Some other goodies coming up include fractional input and output in the imperial measurement sections, and the option to choose the accuracy required of the program during calculations in all sections, (i.e., you'll chose whether you want your output in 1/4", 1/8", 1/16", or 1/32" increments in the imperial section, centimeters or millimeters in the metric section, whether you want to worry about variables like atmospheric pressure, ambient temperature, humidity, etc. during fueling calculations, and more). Also plan to include several fueling scenarios for the fueling section as well (standard metering, metering that displaces air during injection, syringe metering, etc.)

Thanks for all the positive feedback so far. I'm working on the rest of the program whenever I can, but there's not that much time as of late.

Mark thanks so much for this. Im glad all of these new tools and programs are coming out. I really stink at math and am happy you have made this this will also help noobs.

Well, it's not really an update to the original version, this is just the same program (basically) written in BASIC and compiled to a console application with FirstBasic so that everyone with a windows computer can run it. Still working on the fueling sections for BOTH programs.

The zipped program. This is a true standalone EXE so you don't need any frameworks or runtimes to load it. No graphical interface but the compatibility tradeoff is nice.
