ITWOST, earlier morning here but I just had a brain fart...

I've got a mini fridge in my room that doesn't work for some reason, so i'm hoping it's not the compressor. If it isn't i'll gut it and take the compressor, it should work like any other one right?

Yes, but it is smaller so it will take longer to get the pressures your looking for.

No problem there, the chamber i'd be using it on is pretty small, 12" x 1/2" with a 6mm barrel inside it.

which cannon did you use for that beauty?
3"x113" barrel with a 4"x40" chamber at 120 psi. The valve hasn't been posted yet.

You can write another one or edit the last one if you want. Doesn't bother me :)

well I was hoping that someone would like to do it... its difficult to express precisely and to describe even the simplest things when english isn't your first language... is there anything missing in my how-to?
I may write another one and take some pictures when I try to remove a compressor from my second fridge but currently I have no time to do it

Bugger, just took apart the minifridge.

It doesn't have a compressor. Instead it cools a heatsink or something and uses the insulation in the fridge to keep cold. I'm not quite sure, here's a few pictures:

Edit: The big silver block is the heatsink, with a small one on top, which I think does the cooling.

Might as well. :)

I almost took apart my mini-fridge to see if it had a compressor. You saved me from scrapping my fridge! Although, it woulda been nice to replace it with something larger... Oh well.

Yeah Blitz, unless your mini fridge is similar in size and form to mine, it could have a compressor. Ones that are slightly bigger probably have them, like these ones you find in Hotel rooms:

Well, next time I'm at a hotel, I'll be sure to "borrow" their minifridge's compressor :D
