10" is a very large size. I couldn't possibly guess what thickness the pipe is to hold a combustion. Your next video should definately show you going for a basket lol. 

About the cost- I "found" this piece in the middle of the "woods" so it cost me nothing. The only thing I bought was the screws to hold the end on. I'm still browsing the garage sales and thrift stores for some cheap basketballs since I only have one at the moment.

This just reminded me of a 20' length of 10" pipe in the back of one of the woodshop classrooms at my school, I keep asking the teacher if our class can make a basketball cannon, but the teacher won't let us.

if you do the math on it the 9.8m/s^2 given the 3.5 second fall from the apex, it fires approximately 130-160' in the air, the variation is because of the second that cant be accurately determined in the video's angle
