They’re made in China, are actually super low carbon recycled steel, sometimes cast so poorly they are square, and have a pressure rating of 150psi, although I wouldn’t trust them much past 60-80psi.
So you trust pvc move then black pipe? , anyways I think ill have to keep this at a 5x-6x mix due to my ignition witch is only a peizo, might have trouble sparking at higher mixes, I should get healthy carnage results
I've used the malleable iron fittings at 500 psi, but I don't advertise that as being safe, and I have no idea how close it is to their failure point. The only one of those on my hybrid is the union, and I really don't care if that fails, as I'm getting a 3000psi one from McMaster in a few weeks anyway.
I definitely wouldn't take this hybrid to 15x unless I was a long way away from it.
And where did you get that ball valve? Even McMaster doesn't have brass ball valves rated that high.

Think of them as black pipe’s DWV…
Well i take them to 350psi regularaly and im doing fine, no BOOMyet
edit DYI beat me to the malleble iron high pressure thing
I actually have no idea where the valve came from, my dad said he got them from a hydraulic factory place where his friend works and he just gave me like two of them since he knew I was building something that required high pressures.
I think this website I just found may be helpful about the iron fittingshttp://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/iron- ... d_855.html
Okay, so I've got the design for something truly strange sitting in my head here, and I wanted to run it past you guys to see if I'm completely nuts,...

Too bad about the car.
My old 1 copper tube piston hybrid (actually the first ever piston hybrid, afaik) can fire pneumatically, and has in fact...
Okay I've been through these designs over and over and I haven't fond any flaws in them yet. Basically it is an idea for a semi-semi-auto hybrid. No...
