stupid question

I know, this is a stupid question ...

How does the air go on the other side of the piston (in ther camber) ?

your right, it is a stupid question
the piston is not sealed, when somebody make a barrel sealing piston valve, they allow a small leak between the pilot and the chamber.

The only airtight part is against the barrel, theres just enough room between the piston and the chamber wall for air to get through, sometimes poeple put small holes in the piston to leak it through there. Hope that helps.
