I don't know , but Some plastics are effected by solvents , maybe it's your fuel or mixture.

Yes you can have a metal plug... the steel ones on mcmaster seem to be going for about 3 times what the PVC ones go. Personaly, I wouldn't recomend...

My regulator on our 33 gal compressor is at 0, cant go higher. It stays at 0 psi, dial does nothing. I think the piston/ diaphragm is broken. Ideas?
