broken pump
Alright, my mini coax was taken up to atleast 200 psi with my pump today( Which is in fact a record
) and im scared i screwed up the pump. A popoff valve blew off and i couldn't get it to go back to atleast 40 psi. it just leaks over that point. The gauge is set at 160 psi, and does not move. I took it apart and set it back on 0 psi, but what can i do to make it work at higher pressures again? My dad is going to kill me if i broke his new 60 dollar High end pump...as if

What kind of "pop-off" is on the pump? A picture might help here.
Sounds like you ran the sector off of the pinion gear (in the gauge), try winding the pointer backwards a bit to see if the gears can be re-engaged. Then re-zero. (The gauge will most likely be just as accurate as when new.( ie. not very.))

I thought it was a popoff valve hidden somewhere, but i think the cap cracked off the bottom of the pump. i may just epoxy it in and hope for the best... I have already set it back to zero, but it doesn't move even with pressure.

See the pic. The gears are jammed, that's why it won't move.

Pictures of the damage would go a long way toward thinking up an effective repair.
Could you put up a picture or two? Or if not, describe the problem in more detail?
Where did it crack?

Pictures would be of no help, as you cannot see the crack. i think it is in the thread because it was leaking like hell but teflon tape sealed the threads well.
So by winding the pointer backwards again do you mean by forcing the needle back? It seems pretty stuck there and i don't want to break it. i got it to run full pressure again today though.

Glad you got the pump working again.
It'll be a lot easier to move the pointer if you bring the pump up to pressure first. (now that you can)
When you get it to turn, you'll feel it cog as the gears re-engage.
And I think turning it forward is the correct direction, sorry for the confusion.

I decided to screw the gauge and i took it off and epoxyed up the gauge hole. My thoughts were that if i just take off the gauge and eliminate all the dead space in the pump, it would go to higher pressures. And what do you know...It did. One pump on my mini probably got me to 200 psi, because that is what my weight originally did. I put some bouncing effort into the pump and managed to get much more pressure in. I decided one last bounce would do and it blew up. My ears ringing, i just realized the weird thing that was happening. My legs were stinging like crap. I look down and no blood. I then examined the pump and the part that blew was the hose barb elbow. This sent a rush of air on my leg and my leg hairs pushed against my leg. This stung more than you would think too lol.
But now that that story is over, the thing is i have to buy a new pump. I was wondering how much pressures those presta adapters could handle because i want shock pump pressures and i already have a schrader pump so my dad can use one for his bike and i have one for higher pressures. Good thing is that he finally accepted of our spudding ways...
