This will be the new topic for keeping track of wiki renovations. I want to start off by thanking everybody who has been editing the wiki over the last few days. While I have been terribly busy and unable to do so myself, I have noticed that there is more activity there now than there has been in months. We are still only at the very beginning of our long road, but we are making progress none the less.

I made some progress on the BBMG page. After looking at it, I realize it needed to be totally revamped.
I decided to show the differences in the different types of BBMGs to clear up any confusion. (some people though inline vortex's were the same as Vortex blocks housed inside of a Tee.)
I also clarified the barrel length problems with clouds vs vortex bbmgs. Clouds ROF is effected greatly by barrel length while vortex bbmg's are not effected as much.
I am working on a flash video as well as an animated gif for those who don't have flash on how inline vortex's work. I will post the animation as well as a detailed look at how vortex block size effects performance as well as performance increases with better barrels.

I'll edit the 'identify pressure rated PVC' page soon. I want to put in the proper standards and what not. If you know some feel free to put them in.
We also should have an estimate burst pressure of XXX topic. Such as oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers etc

The page is looking good David! There is more to be added, but the info on BBMG's was never given as much consideration as some of the work done on pneumatics and combustions. This makes BBMGs a hard page to work on, glad to see you are up to the task.
MrCrowley, don't forget to put something in about operating chambers at only a fraction of their burst pressure. We also have to take into account why something like a fire extinguisher or an old air tank is available to us. Make sure it has not been determined unsafe for use.

Alright guys, small hickup... It won't let me display flash animations, so I converted it to a GIF knowing wiki allows GIF images however now when I try to upload my gif it says their is no file extension. I find this wierd considering I have uploaded it on imageshack and it works fine.
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/908/ ... ngitv9.gif
Here it is shown below:

Maybe it just won't let me upload it, can you guys try saving that file and uploading it on the wiki for this page:
http://www.spudfiles.com/spud_wiki/inde ... ortex_BBMG
plz upload it under Image:Inlinevortexanimation
EDIT: I'm going to retry creating the GIF (I need to make it smoother anyway.)

I spent the early hours of the morning pushing a large broom through that BBMG page
It look me a while to realise the (now ex- and much edited)section at the end called Copper/Steel BBMG Perfomance wasn't madness about metal construction BBMGs but something logical about non-airsoft ones.

I revamped the "combustion cannon" page.

Hope you like it.
I think im going to do the chamber fan page soon.
Edit:
I started on the chamber fan page and will finish it tonight. It is an complete revamp.
I have not saved any changes into the wiki yet, but saved it in a txt file for now. Tonight I will publish it.

I finally got the animated gif up on the page.

I'm still working on the description as well as a page about plungers and a chart for pvc size and what things work great for plungers.
Such as a Excedrin Bottle Cap works perfect for 1.5" SCH 40 PVC

I am on break from working the polls, so I do not have time to read all the recent revisions. It is a 14 hours day of work, so when I get home I will probably be too tired to do much. (I am working on 4 hours of sleep at most.)
The good news is since we are in the county, and thus do not vote for mayer, city council, etc, our ballet has only a few board members (most running unopposed) and some small measures. I have been using the appalling voter turn out to my advantage however, mulling over the dozens of wiki pages I printed out and took with me during slow downs.
I have tons of things I would like to discuss about these pages, so when I do get a chance to post, it is going to be a $5 one for sure. Psycix, I printed out both of your new pages, and will read them when I get back on duty. In the mean time I am going to run off a few more pages, since I am going through them faster than I imagined I would. (Sadly this is caused partly by a large number needing nothing written on them, save for "Complete Rewrite".

I was wondering if it would be alright to make a electromagnetic section. I know alot of people dont consider these spudguns, as they can't shoot a potato directly, but i think that this hobby has evolved enough as to not be defined as shooting a potato. For example, bbmg's don't shoot little balls of potato, and in some hybrids, the potato would vaporize before exiting the barrel.
I think in a couple of years, electromagnetic will become like hybrid's, as new information surfaces. Although electromagnetic requires mechanical and electrical skills, i think popularity will grow.
Just wondering

Sure you can add it if there isnt a page for it already. We do not hate innovation or new things. Besides most of the people here love to find out new ways to be destructive.rp181 wrote:I was wondering if it would be alright to make a electromagnetic section. I doubt there will be a very noticeable increase in electronic cannons. It doesn't take long to go through every hybrid cannon ever posted here and electronic types arguably are even more daunting.
More will undoubtably be posted but much lower than the rates of every other type.
