Well maybe i will! or are you movking me? Either way, I am still unsure as to know whether it will work. The idea sounds solid, but I am unsure of possible kinks in it. It will probably need to be well oiled. It cannot be too accurate, as it the constant vibratins and strong repositioning of the spring could weaken the barrel assembly.

then why don't you try to build it? if you think it's so great and has never been done build it patent it and get vc funding and start your own buisness

Well for the original idea, you basically described an AEG mechanism without an electric motor. As for the second idea, good luck with building it. Lots of people talk the talk..
It's like me saying, 'Ok, so I'm going to build a space elevator, now all I need is something to join the Moon and the Earth and something to go along that'. Sounds simple, but try getting it done.

Even worse actually, because since

it doesn't even have the benefit of a spring piston push the BB along, it can only go as fast as the spring is going.

If you're going to bother with a compressed gas sytem, there are much more efficient ways of using it to fire projectiles than using it to recock your mechanism. it would probalby be easier to hire these fellows to work a crank for you

may i ask what kind of machine shop you have access to that you can tool closely fitting moving parts to the standard needed to function properly?
