No, that is nothing like hunting. First of all, animals are not people, so they dont get rights. Secondly, its only cruel if you suck at shooting. Thirdly anything without opposable thumbs is a lesser being and may therefor be shot and consumed by a superior being, I.E. a human, with no moral obligations what so ever, mostly because the lesser creatures dont have souls. The exception to this rule is house pets.

Never seen it put so bluntly in such an eloquent manner (aside from the "soul" reference, I'd leave spirituality out of it) :) Ever considered politics? You'd have my vote :D

Hahaha, thanks Jack. I shall keep this in mind for the future. And politics was an option till I realized that I would get virtually no votes, due to my blatant lack of P.C.. Although, I believe a vote of Jack's Carries more weight than normal peoples, especially since its for me. :D

To the retard who has no feelings for animals: Just because animals don't get rights, doesn't mean you can shoot them. We are not superior...
What a waste of 300 spud bux.

It doesn't mean you have to shoot them, but it doesn't mean you can't either. Being at the top of the food chain has to have *some* perks, come on ;) we are superior. I mean, some people say that dolphins are more intelligent than humans - but if that were true, wouldn't they be the ones saying it about us?

Well, it looks as though you are resorting to calling names... how persuasive...

As Jack said, we ARE superior.... I dont see any animals on the forums here, or anywhere for that matter, conversing about their hobbies.

And yes, we clearly can shoot them, seeing as hunting is a completely legal sport, as I have been may times over the last year...

oh well does it matter...? people have been killing each other for centuries, animals have been killing people

I find it funny that tere are people who oppose to hunting animals but they don't protest wars.. or pet owners who spend more money on their cats than some average village in africa has for buing food

Yeah thats pretty stupid.
ANYWAY STOP GETTING OFF TOPIC. Looks like a nice gun overall but to impprove the sights, try putting another sight on the end of the barrel so you line up the two sights and shoot. When you line them up it means that the gun is perfectly striaght.

So, that puts chimpanzees and great apes above us then? Because they sorta have four thumbs...
And what happens if I were to take a dog and graft on some thumbs?

(Actually, that could be a good summer project)
Or what happens if someone loses their thumbs in an accident?

Interesting description, but it seems to have some holes in it.

because the lesser creatures don't have souls. The exception to this rule is house pets.
So house pets do get souls then? :D Blimey, you learn something new every day. :P
As Jack said, we ARE superior.... I dont see any animals on the forums here, or anywhere for that matter, conversing about their hobbies.
I know dogs that have incredible intelligence, unbelievable understanding of the world, a sense of humour, empathy and even a sense of pride.
Perhaps not to the extent of you or I, but easily the equal of someone with mental disabilities.

Two people were playing a game with one of these dogs, where each of them had a cigarette packet, although they were pretending there was only one that they were throwing back and forth - it actually worked out there were two packets, then disappeared off, rummaged in a waste bin, and came back with a packet of it's own, looking very pleased with itself.
That shows an understanding not only that there were two packets, but that it knew where they could be found, and an understanding of the fact that there was a joke because there was more than one packet.

And don't forget, dogs don't have the boon of good eyesight - or school education. You can't just write off all animals as lesser beings, because some of them will go to extreme lengths to prove you wrong.

Now, before I wrap up, a few last points, just so you know exactly where I'm coming from:
- Yes, I have killed things, although not for pleasure.
- No, I don't eat meat, for many reasons, partly moral, partly health & partly cost. You should see the food bill I have compared to my fellow uni students - I pay considerably less, even considering the fact I don't drink beer.
- No, I don't believe in any god, because "Entities should not be multiplied without reason", and I haven't seen a good reason to multiply entities.

Anyway, back on topic...

The cannon looks all right, but could you do a full length side on photo as well?
I'm not finding it particularly easy to get a full mental picture of it.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

As you've all put so much effort into your posts here, they can stay because I honestly can't be bothered editing them all and what not.

But the discussion of hunting ends here.

n-strike, you took the discussion to another level by name calling and posting insults. I don't care what you believe in please try and refrain from insulting other members.

Yes redneck has some flaws in what he said, and I don't fully agree with what he says but i'm not against or for hunting either. Everyone has their opinions and I know that, no need to discuss them in an topic that is not relevant. That goes to you too redneck.

Yes, sorry, back on topic:

I really like what you did with the trigger mechanism, It must give it a much more realistic feel to it.

Looks good from what I saw, though like others have said, It would be nice to have a picture of the over all view of the gun.
