No, it's not a help topic *hooray*

Here's the 1/4" 6mm porting piston valve I just built to actuate the piston valve for my upcoming all steal c02 fed marble cannon.

The piston is just hot glue at the moment but I just got the epoxy poured so a cast epoxy piston should be a comin' in the next 24 hours or so.

Heres a pic:

Nice and simple.

Having both the sealing face and the piston chute adjustable - since they are threaded - you can toy with the piston stroke. One element of piston valves that are set in standard piston construction.

Thanks for posting, giving me ideas...

You guys won't be getting any more info until I get my epoxy casting setup worked it out. It's really pissing me off, my 1/2" 'poxy piston is taking well over 24 hours to dry, I think I got the mix hideously wrong. :/

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

Hold on a tick I'll post a pic.
Its not legit so to say but its the only stuff I could find without ordering online.

I think my main problem is that I just eye-balled the mix, I'm gonna use a syringe this time around though.

The wrapper:

<a href="http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1925.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1925.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1926.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1926.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1927.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x58/ ... G_1927.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

What lies inside:

Um is that meant for flowers? Can't have very much strength can it? I think a box of epoxy with everlasting elegance on it shouldn't be used for pressure applications.

It looks like it could be casting resin, but i would just use normal 2 dollar epoxy if that doesnt work.
