1" sprinkler valve dumped in a 6mm barrel for Bb's ?psycix wrote:Boom boom boom? I bet its more like a pop-pop-pop.
Note that the valve is opening slowly in your case, and may not open completely.
Even if it gives off pulsed bursts of air, it will lack power to propel anything.

The tiny bursts of air are not really very powerful, i build a reciprocating piston a while ago and the bursts barely propelled a bb a couple of inches, maybe with a extremely overkill, large diameter chamber it could be useful because the chamber wouldn't need time to refill after each shot, or perhaps you could experiment with different nozzles on the pilot to see if that affects the size of the bursts.
Thought of that too...SpudFarm wrote:1" sprinkler valve dumped in a 6mm barrel for Bb's ?
Though the air may be too less to use a blow-forward bolt mechanism.
One important thing:
Dudeman, what size of sprinkler did you use?
