An excellent topic was posted recently at nerfhaven that explained how the air system in a certain nerf gun changed a constant air supply into pulsed air. I think that this could be very useful in developing a fully automatic airsoft gun.

If I understood it correctly, it's conceptually similar to one of my auto-piston designs:
