McMasters has them upto a 1/2''.

nice design and it seems it might work provided that you use it at lower pressures (becasue AFAIK they are much harder to open when you run it at high pressures)

POLAND_SPUD: The homemade one I built today is relatively easy to open by hand at 115psi, and that is without any grips or a trigger on it, so I think it could easily go up to much higher pressure and still be easy enough to open once it has a trigger welded to it.

@trollhameran hey that sounds interesting could you post a pic of it or something? I hope it's not made from PVC?

and when I say high pressure I mean ~400 psi - a lot of things work in a different way.... for example it takes a lot of force to disconect a quick connection fitting - basically you have to either buy one that can vent itself before disconnecting or add a Ballvalve for venting (and another one to block the flow from what you have just pumped up)
