Vogt Pattern
Is there any more information about the Vogt Pattern? The only data or launchers I've been able to find is the one made by DR in the archives.

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

More specific:
In DR's Spudfile post, he suggests a chamber that is at least 4 times the volume of the barrel/mag. I was wondering about using high pressure (500psi or so)with a smaller chamber.
Has anyone besides DR ever built one?

I thought so. Just wanted to make sure.SpudFarm wrote:no it won't it has the same amount of air in it as a small chamber with less pressure but it drains the air to fast at 500psi.
In other discussions regarding the vogt design, it was thought that a good consistantly running vogt gun would need an industrial sized air compressor running full bore similar to what's needed to drive a jack hammer.
That means air, air and more air, and lots of it. Higher pressure/low quantity not as effective.

Almost all repeating cannons have a real thirst for air pressure.
The vogt pattern, as far as I can see, is basically hiding extra projectiles in some dead space, and empties the chamber in pulses.
