Hehe, nice "Braaaaap" sound on firing :)

Any ammo gone through it yet or has it all been towards getting a working valve system going?

Sure, im working on adapting the bolt system on it, as described in the first post of this thread. I'v had the bolt system working on a semi-auto design, sure im positive to get it working on this one.

If some may have been wondering, i get fast burst and slow burst depending on how hard i press on the blow gun. Pretty convenient.

Expect full auto shooting before next sunday!

When attaching the bolt to the cannon, epoxy alone would not be strong enough.
I had to drill into the rubber piston, screw in a short screw wich would fit in the bolt, fullfill a part of the bolt with epoxy, slide the screw in and spread some more epoxy around it. Im letting in dry for a full 24 hours, i'll see if it works better.

ooooh that sounds *very* nice :) very much looking forward to see it actually firing.

I looks like the pop-off-piston combination is one of the best solutions to the constant flow/full auto problem.

Yep. I think so too.
In effect the modded qev and snapvalve do just the same.At higher pressures and lower rps.But I haven't been able to achieve these kinds of results yet.( in theory I'm there) so my hat's off to you!
I now know what to expect.
I'm gonna try and find time tomorrow to finally lathe a well working snapvalve.

A normal QEV an pop-off are slightly different because of the intake placing. This design is another step forward.Slowly we are making progress.

This has been very helpfull.Thanks!

Wow, this is very nice, it seems to cycle really well. The fact that you can vary the cycling speed is one of the best parts, because with the pulsed-air bbmg that I made, it would only cycle at two minutely different speeds, and the power was awful. I am looking forward to a video!

This makes sense as firing depends on the pressure in the pilot chamber reaching the pop-off valve's limit, if you're filling quicker it will obviously actuate quicker. However you might get less power if firing faster as this gives the chamber less time to refill, I would keep a sensibly low rate of fire, less than 5 shots per second, to show cloud BBMGs how it should really be done ;)

Great..

I think we should compete and see who can make the best machine gun based off this idea...And really get this idea developped fully..

And maybe maybe pay a little bit of attention to the look of the gun :D

Do you think this has any chance against brand name bbmgs? maybe you should sell these plans to them for some $. it would definently be good for compact guns.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.
