Hi
First of all i could't do a research, it gave me an error, so sorry if the question was already posted...
So im going to build my first pneumatic cannon and i was wondering the difference between modded and non-modded.
I read and saw video on how to mod a valve, but is it hard? i don't wanna lose 40$ if i mess up...
And is there a big difference for performance between a modded valve and non-modded?
Do you know any Canadian shop where i can buy a pre-modded valve?

Also, does a bike pump gives enough pressure to "close" the sprinkler valve or i would have to use a compressor, at least for the first few seconds?
Thanks

A modded valve will give you better performance, eliminate the need for batteries, and give is worth the effort. Of course, if you are really concerned with damaging the valve and wasting $40, you could always spend $22 on a sure thing.

I am happy to be there to told you this:

if you never modded a valve before(like me) dont buy a normal sprinkler

valve but the one with flow control. just take of the valve cap and take of

the flow control and just put the brass tit on the top and its all, no mess because the hole was not perfect, the hole is already there.and you dont need to take of the soleinoid actuator!!! ISNT THAT FANTASTIC???

just a simple question in this thread (does not deserve a topic) since i can't get sprinklers, why has no one put the pilot valve in the solenoid hole?

because supposedly, the solenoid hole is too small and doesn't allow as much flow as a blow gun just stuck in the side...

btw, happy 2000
