Any advice on building my next cannon?
Thanks
Nemesis
Apparently not much. I've personally never really been much of a spitball cannon guy....fun at first but kind of underwhelming when it's all said and done. I would suggest moving up to something larger and a little more challenging.Xzen wrote: Any advice on building my next cannon?
Yup, build bigger and with "proper" materials.Xzen wrote:Any advice on building my next cannon?
Yes make sure it has the markings NSF-PW or NSF-61, meaning its rated for pressure applications.Xzen wrote:^^ Yeh i had all the parts except the lighter... so cost = 99P. Dad said straight off he didn't want me doing a bigger combustion... so i will do a pnematic.... when i have the time i will work out a design. ^^ PVC pressure rated pipe is what i should look for isnt it??
You don't get NSF ratings in the UK, it's a US thing.LikimysCrotchus5 wrote:Yes make sure it has the markings NSF-PW or NSF-61, meaning its rated for pressure applications.

It's probably worth referring back to the links in this post I made in the last thread...

... which is usually where we Brits get our PVC supplies from if we need them - if we use them, which I tend not to. Copper FTW.
Unlikely, you're not at any great risk of finding them in a modded form on ebay - you'll have to do the modding yourself.Xzen wrote:I will see if i can get a modded sprinkler valve off ebay.
Yea i was considering he was from somewhere besides the U.S. but it was late when i wrote that, so i didnt feel like writing it, but the point still remains.Ragnarok wrote:You don't get NSF ratings in the UK, it's a US thing.LikimysCrotchus5 wrote:Yes make sure it has the markings NSF-PW or NSF-61, meaning its rated for pressure applications.

However, if ebay fails for a basic sprinker valve, there are other online stores in the UK where you can buy them in that form.
Alternatively, a popular alternative is the Quick Exhaust Valve.
